This is the End
Beautiful friends, it was a saddening experience to see a brave warrior resorting to politics and media manipulation in his pathetic attempt to cling on to power. What have we done to this proud cricketer who has arguably been the best captain of the Indian cricket team?
The same man who took the fight to the gnarly Aussie in their own backyard, and made us all proud to be Indian cricket fans is now a poor imitation of his former self. Why did this happen? No, why did we let this happen? Why can’t we make difficult decisions early so as to prevent the catastrophe later? Ganguly should have been asked to step down as captain after the dreadful
And this is only the beginning of the end. Strap yourself in, with a stiff drink to watch the show because we are bedeviled to be Indian cricket fans. But, do remember, it is only a game.

Just a game? Just a game? Never thought I'd hear you say that ;).
I will definitely have my stiff drink ready to enjoy the drama that always seems to accompany Indian cricket.
Keep the posts coming, Nish.

So do we drop him after Zimbabwe? What if this hundred actually gave him some confidence to go after the bowling in his next innings?
I dont even know if Dravid can be as aggressive a captain as Ganguly has been at times.
The only positive I take from that Zim game is that Pathan is back to his inswinging ways.

I think Ganguly's hundred was a good effort, especially with all the pressure on him, but what is unpardonable is that he did not select Kaif in the Test XI, because Kaif is one of Chappell's favourite cricketers. (This was revealed to the press by a team insider, read rediff story) The source also revealed that "Kaif is shattered that Dada [Ganguly] did not speak a word to him for the first two days of the Test or offered any consolation"
What kind of a captain tries to stamp his authority by punishing one of the young players?
